Chris joined the Inland Revenue in 1970 and in 1974 progressed to Lloyds Private Banking, King Street in the heart of Manchester, to manage the tax affairs of a varied portfolio of clients. In 1978 he was promoted to the Watford office of Lloyds Private Banking where he subsequently led a team of Financial Advisers. In 1992 he returned to his first love, Tax Returns, at the Bank’s Cambridge office where he remained until it closed in 1996.
Chris joined The Young Company in 1996 to look after an even greater diversification of tax clients and enjoys being involved in the management of our clients’ personal tax affairs. The objective is to save tax where he can for his clients and ensure that they do not pay any more than they should.
From a personal aspect Chris and Elaine married in 1977, have a son and daughter and now a daughter-in-law and a grandson. Chris’s current pursuits mainly revolve around his family and his cars.
